Soria, a city along the River Duero in the Castiglia e León region of central Spain, is the "modern" city that started with the settlement of Numantia, a celtic outpost 7 km to the north that played a central role in the Celt-Iberian resistance to Roman conquest. Soria is a pleasant town to visit.
